Gordon Prill designed and built out the new Moler lab for research that addresses the fundamental behavior of electrons in materials. The lab builds and operates tools for measuring magnetic fields on small length scales.
They use these tools to study superconductivity and mesoscopic quantum mechanical effects at low temperatures.
Dr. Moler believes their research will make a breakthrough in the theory of electrons in strongly correlated materials
“Gordon Prill did a great job on my lab. The on-site project manager was terrific.” – Dr. Kathryn Moler, Associate Professor of Applied Physics and of Physics, Lab. for Advanced Materials.
