A complete mechanical system upgrade to Benson Hall the Santa Clara Bookstore, Shapell lounge, and student government offices:

• Two new energy efficient air-handlers, exhaust fans and chiller replaced outdated air-handlers and a cooling tower
• Four new exhaust fans were mounted on the roof
• The basement mechanical rooms and chases were brought up to code
• An exterior equipment yard was renovated to house the chiller
• New electrical support equipment and controls systems were installed
• Suspended and hard ceilings were opened up and patched for the addition of the new VAV and piping installations
• Construction was phased and we worked in enclosed, moving construction ‘pods’ with temporary cooling units for much of the project to accommodate continued operation of the bookstore and student government services
