SLAC Selects Gordon Prill to Build Their New $25.3 Million Cryoplant Building

This very technical project, part of the Linac Coherent Light Source II (LCLS) program for advanced x-ray research, will house two liquid helium producing plants to cool the equipment that generates enormous amount of heat and energy. The infrastructure requires a massive amount of grading for a huge service yard for the helium tanks and associated utilities. Construction will not be completed until mid-2017.
