Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer in Process Piping


Gordon Prill, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process piping. This engineer will to participate on a full-service design team on complex industrial and technology projects such as clean rooms, R&D labs and testing facilities from inception through construction documents. Salary will be commensurate with background and project experience.

Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum mechanical engineering design experience specializing in process piping

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering

  • Licensed California Mechanical Engineer preferred

  • Strong production skills using AutoCad

  • Experience with Revit/BIM

  • Strong skills with MS Word, Excel, Access and Project

  • Knowledge of current California Building, Mechanical and Plumbing codes and Title 24 requirements is essential

This person will be part of a team of in-house professionals including architects, mechanical and electrical engineers and construction managers. Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of electrical engineering design experience for industrial building projects

  • BS in electrical engineering

  • Licensed engineer in California

  • LEED accreditation highly recommended

  • Strong production skills using AutoCAD mandatory

BIM/CAD Specialist


This position provides BIM/CAD leadership and support to in-house architects, engineers and designers.  It requires candidates to have a minimum of 5 years of experience. Strong Revit and AutoCAD experience is a must.

Requirements:

  • Provide leadership and vision to the firm in the areas of BIM and CAD

  • Provide BIM/CAD support (Revit/AutoCAD) to in–house architects, engineers and designers

  • Develop, implement and enforce BIM/CAD Standards, and file organization

  • Develop and implement the firm’s transition to Revit

    • Create/modify Revit families across multiple disciplines

    • Manage and build Revit libraries

    • Develop BIM Standards including BIM Execution and Implementation Plans

    • Responsible for model coordination including clash detection and Navis works

Healthcare Project Superintendent


The Superintendent position involves working at the construction jobsite to facilitate proper subcontractor management in the execution of industrial, lab and high-tech construction projects, often on a fast-track basis. The work involves working with Project Managers to supervise, manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, client relations, quality assurance and enforcement of safety policies.

The Superintendent will also work with other construction personnel as well as in-house design and engineering staff, the client’s EH&S representatives and city and country inspectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with in-house Architects, Engineers, Designers and Construction Personnel on multiple sized projects from $50k to $25M.

  • Facilitate, coordinate and manage all field aspects of projects:

    • Preconstruction, assist in project buy-out & scheduling

    • On-site Project set up & mobilization

    • Scheduling – Master schedules, tracking & recovery, 3-week rolling

    • Conduct regularly scheduled subcontractor coordination & safety meetings

    • Jobsite Safety / Risk Mitigation / Job Hazard Analysis

    • Daily Logs & maintenance of all field documents

    • Maintain current & accurate as-builts

    • Implement on-site QA/QC Program

    • Coordinate all subcontractor trades

    • Owner vendors & contractors

    • Coordinate Inspections with IOR / TCO / Final Occupancy

    • Coordinate final acceptance / Punch list / Warranty

General Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the project closeout process with a successful completion

  • Forecasts costs throughout lifespan of the project

  • Prepares and updates Pre-construction and Construction Master Schedules

Construction Project Manager


This is an immediate opening for a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience and requires U.S. citizenship. The Construction Project Manager will oversee both on and off-site functions while maintaining direct contact with clients and sub-contractors.

The Construction Project Manager will oversee the construction process from pre-construction through the final walk-through and occupation. This person will work closely with other construction personnel as well as Gordon Prill’s in-house architecture and engineering staff to facilitate proper management of commercial, industrial, lab and high-tech construction projects, often on a fast-track basis.

The work involves subcontractor coordination, contract management, construction scheduling, client relations, quality assurance and enforcement of safety policies. Requires knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project capability of managing on-site field activities.

Duties Include:

  • Work with in-house architects, engineers, designers and construction personnel (estimators, superintendents & safety manager)

  • Effectively communicate and negotiate with clients and sub-contractors.

  • Facilitate, coordinate and manage all project aspects – This may require both PM & Supt. Duties:
