Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer in Process Piping


Gordon Prill, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process piping. This engineer will to participate on a full-service design team on complex industrial and technology projects such as clean rooms, R&D labs and testing facilities from inception through construction documents. Salary will be commensurate with background and project experience.

Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum mechanical engineering design experience specializing in process piping

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering

  • Licensed California Mechanical Engineer preferred

  • Strong production skills using AutoCad

  • Experience with Revit/BIM

  • Strong skills with MS Word, Excel, Access and Project

  • Knowledge of current California Building, Mechanical and Plumbing codes and Title 24 requirements is essential

  • Must have mechanical engineering design experience for industrial facilities, labs, clean rooms, process piping systems and equipment including clean dry air, process vacuum, RO/DI Water systems, process gases and plumbing systems.

  • Must be able to work independently and provide all mechanical engineering, design and CADD work necessary as the project engineer for the project.

  • Strong communications skills required to coordinate work between in-house design team members

  • Strong presentation and teaming skills to coordinate with client management and end-user representatives

Mid-Senior Level Electrical Engineer


Gordon Prill, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Mid-Senior Level Electrical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to participate on a full-service design team on complex industrial and technology projects from inception through construction documents. This person will be part of a team of in-house professionals including architects, mechanical and electrical engineers and construction managers. Salary will be commensurate with background and project experience.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of electrical engineering design experience for industrial building projects

  • BS in electrical engineering

  • Licensed engineer in California

  • LEED accreditation highly recommended

  • Strong production skills using AutoCAD mandatory

  • Experience with Revit/BIM a plus

  • Experience with SKM/Etap software a plus

  • Strong skills with MS Word, Excel, Access and Project

  • Knowledge of current CalGreen, Title 24, CEC and local building codes is essential

  • Must have electrical engineering design experience for industrial facilities, labs and clean rooms involving substations, generators, load analysis for equipment and tool installation, lighting, communications and electrical distribution for campus wide facilities

  • Knowledge of short circuit / coordination / arc flash and use of SKM and/or ETAP software

BIM/CAD Specialist


This position provides BIM/CAD leadership and support to in-house architects, engineers and designers.  It requires candidates to have a minimum of 5 years of experience. Strong Revit and AutoCAD experience is a must.

Requirements:

  • Provide leadership and vision to the firm in the areas of BIM and CAD

  • Provide BIM/CAD support (Revit/AutoCAD) to in–house architects, engineers and designers

  • Develop, implement and enforce BIM/CAD Standards, and file organization

  • Develop and implement the firm’s transition to Revit

    • Create/modify Revit families across multiple disciplines

    • Manage and build Revit libraries

    • Develop BIM Standards including BIM Execution and Implementation Plans

    • Responsible for model coordination including clash detection and Navis works

    • Facilitate internal training

  • Organize the BIM/CAD environment

  • Interact on project standards coordination with clients

  • Provide training and supervision of in-house BIM/CAD users

  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions

  • Manage BIM/CAD vendor licenses and installations

  • Supply technical support for all CAD/BIM software

  • Maintain BIM/CAD software inventory

  • Maintain BIM/CAD document archive and retrieval for projects

  • Primary point of contact for client BIM/CAD interface and data collection, outside reprographic services, and software licensing

  • Order & maintain print & plotter supplies

  • Customize BIM/CAD programs and pen/plotting settings

  • Project Record Drawings and Closeout

    • Review, understand and adhere to client BIM/CAD standards

    • Collect and submit Project Closeout documentation

    • Incorporate Contractor Redlines into BIM/CAD files

    • Cleanup BIM/CAD files for project closeout

    • Finalize BIM/CAD files for project closeout

    • Submit closeout document package to Clients

    • Archive completed projects

Gordon Prill, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Designer possessing a BA in Architecture or design to participate on a full-service design team working on complex industrial and technology building projects from inception through construction documents. This person will be part of a team of in-house professionals including licensed architects, mechanical and electrical engineers and construction managers which will provide a unique opportunity to interact with the various disciplines to design and construct projects including offices, research labs, clean rooms, testing facilities and other industrial spaces for clients in aerospace, semiconductor, manufacturing, biotech and other high-tech industries. We are looking for exceptional people who have just graduated or who have 1-3 years of experience with building design who are motivated to learn more and develop their careers.
